Scenery


Creating the scenery:

Firstly the Super Spitfire model was importet into unity, and added to a new scene. The first surrounding that was added to the scene, was the runway for the plane, so there was a starting point for the airplane when it needs to take off.


Afterwards was creating the scenery itself. Terrain builder was utilized to complete this, and create a nice, but simple landscape the user could fly around and simultaneously enjoy the view. The terrain near the runway was created at first, to make a seemless blend between the ground and the runway, for a more aesthetic look.


Afterwards the visual boundaries were created in the sense of mountains, where the largest mountain was created in the middle, to give the user something to fly around, to hopefully add a bit of fun to the flying experience. 


Now that all the visuals of the simulator is completed, it's time to work on the actual mechanics so that the user can fly in VR.
