Week 3 - Terrains and ProBuilder
Self Studies:
For this weeks self study we were to to install the Unity add ons 'Terrain Tools' and 'ProBuilder'. With these tools, we had a lot a freedom to build our own little landscape. I chose to build a valley of sorts, surrounded by snowy mountains and a entrance for the valley.
I importet my character from the last week, and used him for scale, to show how big the landscape was.
Scale refference is the small white guy by the entrance of the valley.
Afterwards I started to work on ProBuilder to make the actual 'level' for inside of the valley.
I decided to create a village inside the valley, full of huts and roads from where the villagers had been walking around.
Tutorial:
We folloed a NavMessh tutorial, and made it so that the character could easily move across the terrain that I had built.
As seen in the gif the capsules are also made to be AI that follow the character around anywhere he goes.
