AR Tool for Architectural Draftsmen

Inspiration:

Both of my parents are architects, which sparked my interest in developing something for within their within their field.

Reasoning behind idea:

• Simplify setting up, either the buildings made in the cat tool, or interior for visualizing the space.
• Potentially reducing cost and time of setting things up.

Concept:

To simplify some of the processes for people within the design industry, the application can be applied in various spaces. However, for this assignment, the focus is on the architectural field. The goal is to simplify the process of visualizing the final product in real life by enabling users to see what it would look like before it is finalized. This can be done through a mobile device, or possibly even AR glasses in the future.

Functions:

Architect:

• An architect working with modular buildings, can find an open spot, where they are able to put together a building  with the different modules. Basically like building LEGO through your phone, to better visualize the final product of what is being build.

Architectural Draftsman:

• Gives freedom to easily move around objects in the building, and plan for how it can end up looking before making any final decisions.
